I have been shooting photographs a good portion of my life starting with a Fischer-Price toy camera. As I grew up wherever I would travel, I would capture the scenery and people around me.
I began my formal education in photography when I reached college age. My time spent at Sacramento City College pushed me forward into new techniques and ideas in the vast world that is photography. Later, I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to pursue a degree of a different discipline at California College of Arts and Crafts (now CCA). While there, I continued my studies in photography with CCA campus instructors through independent study and with local photographers. Since then I have received additional education from UC Berkeley and numerous seminars from fashion photographer Bruce Smith, National Geographic and Rocky Mountain School of Photography (RMSP).
At present I shoot fine art, portrait/fashion images and give instruction.
I shoot mainly with Nikon DSLR cameras, lenses and strobes. In addition I use products from Photoflex, Honl Photo and Calumet. All post image editing is done on Apple computers running Adobe software (Lightroom & Photoshop) with Plug-ins from Topaz, Nik and Imagenomic.
